In 1994 graduated from Myers Park High School in Charlotte, NC, where he played basketball and baseball...signed a letter of intent to attend North Carolina State but instead signed a professional contract with the Yankees. 1998 Led the Florida State League with 2 shutouts...his 11 victories ranked fourth among all Yankees minor league pitchers...was FSL Pitcher of the Week for 5/18-5/24. 2000 1994-2000: Spent his first 7 professional seasons in the Yankees organization...was an 11th-round selection in the June 1994 free-agent draft...was granted minor league free agency following the 2000 season. 2001 For the Class AAA Richmond Braves appeared in 57g, seventh-most in team history at that time. 2002 Made a career-high 58 apps for Class AAA Richmond and Colorado Springs. 2003 Went 6-3, 2.16 with 8 saves in 34 relief apps to help lead Class AA Akron to the Eastern League championship. 2004 Spent most of the season in the minor leagues, where at Class AA Akron and Class AAA Buffalo he combined to go 8-2, 3.19 with 5 saves in 44 apps, including 2 starts...made his Major League debut with a pair of relief apps for the Indians, on 9/20 at Det (0.2ip, 0h, 0r, 0bb, 0k) and on 9/24 vs Min (1.1ip, 3h, 1er, 0bb, 0k, Jacque Jones HR)...made his big league debut after 370 career apps over 11 minor league seasons...for the Bisons did not allow a run in 22 of his 32 apps and converted all 4 save opps...in the International League playoffs did not allow a run in 4 apps (4.1ip, 2h, 4k)...on 10/6 was outrighted off the roster. 2005 Spent the season with the Indians' Class-A team in Buffalo and went 3-5, 3.08 with a team-high 23 saves in 49 relief apps...ranked T3rd in the International League in saves...helped lead the Bisons to their fifth division title in the last 7 years.
