Leslie signed a minor league contract with Iowa on January 11 and was a non-roster invitee to big league camp...has recorded two double-digit winning seasons in his career...graduated from Union High School in Tulsa, OK...was selected by St. Louis in the 13th round of the 1998 draft out of the University of Kansas. 2005 Leslie was 4-5 in 15 starts after signing with Florida's Triple-A affiliate in the offseason...hurled a pair of complete games, throwing a 4-hit shutout on May 29 against Omaha and a 3-hit shutout June 19 at Memphis...struck out a season-high 7 batters on May 8...held left-handed batters to a .216 average, but struggled against right-handers, allowing a .313 average. 2004 Combined to go 14-8 in 27 games (25 starts) for Wichita (AA) and Omaha (AAA)...was promoted to Omaha on June 2 and earned the win that night, allowing 1 run on 3 hits over 7.0 innings...struck out 107 batters in 123.2 innings at Triple-A...tossed a 3-hit complete-game shutout on August 26...the 7.0-inning complete game was the second game of a doubleheader against Iowa...wrapped up the season with a four-game winning streak from August 21-September 6, allowing 7 earned runs over 27.1 innings on the mound. 2003 Began the season in the St. Louis organization with Memphis (AAA) and Tennessee (AA), combining for a 1.50 ERA (24.0 IP, 4 ER)...spent time with 5 clubs over the season in 2 organizations (also Omaha, Kansas City and Wichita)...Was claimed off waivers from St. Louis on May 29 and was optioned to Omaha (AAA)...was recalled from Omaha on June 8 after making 2 appearances at Omaha...Went 0-2 with a 10.13 ERA in 2 stints with the Royals...made 7 relief outings for KC, allowing 11 hits and 9 runs in 8.0 innings...his losses came against San Francisco on June 14 and in the 2nd game of a doubleheader against Cleveland on June 30...Made his Major League debut at Colorado on June 8, allowing 2 hits and 1 run in 2.0 innings of relief in KC's 8-7 loss...Was designated for assignment on Aug. 6...appeared with both Omaha and Wichita to finish the season.
