Married the former Jennifer Hodges (10/27/01) ... He is a 1997 graduate of Antelope Valley HS in Lancaster, CA ... Was a 2nd round pick but the 4th player selected by the Orioles in the 1997 draft ... Enjoys fishing and camping...Serves as an instructor at several baseball clinics in the off-season ... Returned to Baltimore this winter to take part in the annual Orioles FanFest. 2005 Douglass worked his way into the Tigers rotation by going 9-1 with a 2.87 ERA in 14 starts for Triple-A Toledo. Called up in June, he went unbeaten in his first five starts and held the Mariners to a run on three hits in eight innings August 4 before the rest of the American League caught up. He was sent to the bullpen in September before rejoining the rotation later in the month to turn in a pair of quality starts. 2002
