Graduated from Harvest Christian Academy (TX). Played one year of baseball at San Jacinto Junior College in Houston. 2012 Did not attend Spring Training with any club. Signed as a free agent with Washington on 5/8 after recovering from left knee surgery. Began the season at Triple-A Syracuse, making his only appearance on 6/1 at Indianapolis. Contract was selected by Washington on 6/3. Went 0-0 with a 3.03 ERA in 47 relief appearances with the Nationals. Held opponents to a .237 batting average, including .179 to left-handed hitters (12-for-67). Recorded 39 strikeouts in just 35.2 innings.
