Winston played baseball and boxed at Cotui High School in the Dominican Republic... Winston's nephew, Wilmer Almonte, is a right-handed pitcher in the Rays organization. 2010 Spent the entire season in Durham (AAA) in the Rays organization... Posted 23 saves as the Bulls closer, while allowing only 35 hits in 55.1 IP, and adding 82 strikeouts... NICE RUN: Did not allow an earned run in his first seven outings... Recorded 22.0 scoreless innings over 20 appearances from May 22-July 22... Posted a 1.59 ERA with 11 saves before the All-Star Break and a 3.38 ERA with 12 saves post break... TOUGH ON RIGHTIES: Held right-handed batters to a .137 average (16-117), with a .192 OBP...
