Is a 1994 graduate of Englewood High School in Jacksonville, FL...Also attended Sandlewood High School in Jacksonville and Tallahassee Community College...Was inducted into the Tallahassee Community College Eagle Athletics Hall of Fame on September 28, 2007. 2008 Made 48 appearances (26 starts) because of a right hamstring injury suffered while running to first base on June 3 @PHI...The next day went on the 15-day disabled list and missed the Reds' last 103 games of the season...On July 23, had surgery to remove the torn distal tendon in his right hamstring (Dr. Timothy Kremchek)...Hit safely in 23 of his 26 starts, including 12 multi-hit games...Started at 4 positions (19 in CF, two in LF, four at 3B, one at 2B)... Made 20 starts batting leadoff, five starts batting second and one start batting seventh...T Hit .423 with RISP(11-26, 10 RBI)...On April 19 vMIL, was ejected by HPumpire Hunter Wendelstedt for
