COACHING CAREER

Begins his first season as the Yankees' quality control coach in 2020 after being named to the position on 1/14/20..also serves as the team's catching coach and the organization's Director of Catching, in which he oversees the Yankees' catching operation at all levels and consults with the player development catching coordinator...Spent the last two seasons (2018-19) as the Minnesota Twins' minor league catching coordinator...Prior to joining the Twins, spent nine seasons at various levels of collegiate baseball, including a five-year stint as a volunteer assistant coach at the University of Washington (2013-17), where he also briefly served as the school's Director of Baseball Operations for one season (2012)..during his tenure as a coach at Washington, his catchers garnered three All-Pac-12 Conference selections, with two also being selected in the first three rounds of the Major League First-Year Player Draft...Served as head coach at Green River Community College (Wash.) in 2011..was a lecturer in the School of Physical Education and School Health, while also serving as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Central Washington University, in 2010..in 2009, was an assistant coach at Everett Community College (Wash.), and in 2008, he taught and coached baseball at Sultan High School.

PERSONAL

Is married to Laura..the couple has two daughters, Tatum and Harper...Grew up in Roslyn, Wash., and graduated from Cle Elum-Roslyn High School in 2001...Attended Green River Community College (Wash.) for one year and Everett Community College (Wash.) for one year, earning All-NWAACC honors as a sophomore in 2003..graduated from Central Washington University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education and School Health..while at CWU, was an academic all-conference selection...Attended Seattle University and is in the process of earning a Masters in Sports Administration and Leadership.
