Begins his second season as the Yankees' Catching Coach in 2019… spent the 2017 season as the club's Major League Coaching Assistant and Bullpen Catcher… made his professional coaching debut as the Bullpen and Catching Coach for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, holding the position from 2015-16… was signed by the Dodgers as a non-drafted free agent in May 1997… played in 609 minor league games over 12 seasons (1997-2008) in the Dodgers, Devil Rays, Marlins, Pirates, Expos and Yankees systems, primarily as a catcher… spent his final four seasons (2005-08) in the Yankees organization, reaching as high as Triple-A… is a native of Long Beach, Calif.… earned a degree in business administration from USC, where he posted a career .311 batting average from 1994-97… following his playing career from 1997-2008, spent three seasons (2009-11) as a varsity assistant coach at Palos Verdes High School… served as an assistant coach for the Orleans Firebirds of the Cape Cod Baseball League from 2009-14… returned to USC in 2012 as an assistant coach.
