Mighty KC! Royals rally late, win World Series

NEW YORK -- Christian Colon delivered an RBI single in his only at-bat of the postseason to spark a five-run 12th inning that gave the Royals their first World Series championship in 30 years with a 7-2 victory over the Mets in Game 5 on Sunday night at Citi Field.

Kansas City trailed, 2-0, heading into the ninth, having been shut down by Matt Harvey, but Eric Hosmer chased the Mets' ace with an RBI double and then scored a gutsy tying run on Salvador Perez's groundout to third base against closer Jeurys Familia.
