Phillies righty Rosenberg clears waivers

PHILADELPHIA -- The Phillies announced on Monday afternoon that right-hander B.J. Rosenberg has cleared waivers.

Rosenberg has been outrighted to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Rosenberg, 29, had a 6.75 ERA in 13 appearances last season. He has a 5.72 ERA in 57 appearances over three seasons with the Phillies.

The Phillies now have 38 players on their 40-man roster.

Additionally on Monday, outfielder Roman Quinn and right-hander Nefi Ogando were selected to play in Saturday's Arizona Fall League Fall Stars Game in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Quinn spent this season with Class A Advanced Clearwater. He hit .245 (13-for-53) with one triple, four RBIs and a .627 on-base plus slugging percentage with the Scottsdale Scorpions. Ogando, who played the season with Double-A Reading, went 1-0 with a 2.08 ERA in seven appearances.
