No changes to Giants' roster for World Series

KANSAS CITY -- As expected, the Giants made no changes Tuesday to their 25-man active roster for the World Series against the Kansas City Royals.

Left fielder/first baseman Michael Morse remained on the roster, having recovered from a strained left oblique. Morse proved his health by bashing a pinch-hit eighth-inning home run that tied the score in the Giants' 6-3 victory over the Cardinals in the fifth and final game of the National League Championship Series on Thursday.

Manager Bruce Bochy kept his word by leaving right-hander Tim Lincecum on the roster. Lincecum, a two-time NL Cy Young Award winner and four-time All-Star, was dropped from the starting rotation in August and has not pitched since the final day of the regular season.
