P&G Cincinnati MLB Urban Youth Academy Announces Fall Programming

The P&G Cincinnati MLB Urban Youth Academy has announced the fall clinic schedule for baseball, softball and T-ball.

The Urban Youth Academy is located at the Roselawn Sports Complex and offers free, year-round baseball and softball instruction, plus educational and vocational opportunities for boys and girls ages 5-18 residing primarily in urban neighborhoods in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.

• Softball Clinics - Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. (Oct. 15 - Dec. 3)

For girls ages 8-18 whose skills range from beginner to intermediate, teaching the basics of hitting, throwing, fielding, and pitching.

• T-ball Clinics - Sundays from 2 to 6 p.m. (Oct. 19 - Dec. 7)

One hour indoor T-ball games for boys and girls ages 5-7 teaching the basics.

• Baseball Clinics - Tuesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. (Oct. 28 - Dec. 16)

For boys ages 8-13 whose skills range from beginner to intermediate, teaching the basics of hitting, throwing, fielding, and pitching.

"Our clinics offer high-level instruction and skills development in addition to conditioning, speed and agility sessions," said Charley Frank, executive director of the Reds Community Fund. "Participation in our programs at the Urban Youth Academy is intended for boys and girls who wouldn't otherwise be able to afford or have access to this type of programming."

Enrollment is limited and registration will be taken on a first come, first served basis.
