Blue Jays claim Schultz

The TORONTO BLUE JAYS have claimed RHP BO SCHULTZ off waivers from the Arizona Diamondbacks.

SCHULTZ, 29, made his Major League debut in 2014 for the Diamondbacks appearing four games out of the bullpen, allowing seven runs over eight innings. The Dallas, Texas native also pitched in 28 games, including 23 starts for Reno of the Pacific Coast League (AAA) posting a 10-8 record with a 6.18 ERA. The right-hander is a veteran of seven minor league seasons recording a 37-29 won/loss mark and a 4.37 ERA in 236 games, including 50 starts.

The Blue Jays now have 38 players on the 40-man roster.
