ST. LOUIS -- While the focus of the decision is on Clayton Kershaw starting Game 4 of the National League Division Series on Tuesday, the choice allows the Dodgers to start Zack Greinke again instead of Dan Haren.
Greinke is lined up to pitch Game 5 on Thursday for the Dodgers if there is one. Kershaw first has to beat the Cardinals on Tuesday (2 p.m. PT on FOX Sports 1) after the Dodgers fell, 3-1, in Game 3 on Monday, leaving them in a 2-1 series hole.
Greinke said he will throw a light bullpen session Tuesday. He normally would have thrown one on Monday, three days before the next start, but said he got mixed up with the postseason schedule.
He said he came out of his Saturday night Game 2 start -- seven scoreless innings, two hits allowed -- feeling fine.
