Indians Pitching Staff Nominated for Mustache of the Year Award

Award-winning 'staches.

The Cleveland Indians just missed the Postseason, but October is still an exciting time of year for them. Their entire pitching staff is up for the prestigious Robert Goulet Memorial Mustached American of the Year award, presented by the American Mustache Institute. The case for the Tribe pitching staff from the AMI website:

Led by Cy Young hopeful Corey Kluber as well as the proprietor of one of the most impressive names in baseball history - Lonnie Chisenhall - the Cleveland Indians vastly exceeded expectations after adopting what is considered to be the most mustache-friendly clubhouse policy in professional baseball. The pitching staff's collection of sturdy lower nose units lifted their entire team's prospects to near-playoff capacity and created a broad level of handsomeness not seen since Debra Winger left to pursue her Hollywood dreams.

But the Indians' pitching staff isn't the only MLB representative up for the award. Another one of the ten candidates is Milwaukee Brewers mascot Bernie Brewer.

Sometimes, it's all about the 'stache.
