At Kansas' Goddard High School, Norris played baseball, basketball and football. On the diamond, he was a third baseman until his senior year. In 2007, he became a catcher -- and the rest is history.
Norris was named the Kansas Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year in '07, and that season he cracked the Louisville Slugger All-American team.
Before getting drafted by the Nationals in the fourth round of the 2007 First-Year Player Draft, Norris had signed a letter of intent to play baseball at Wichita State.
