Zimmermann has sore shoulder; shouldn't miss start

WASHINGTON -- Nationals manager Matt Williams said Jordan Zimmermann's right shoulder is black and blue after he was hit by a comebacker off the bat of Marlins infielder Casey McGehee on Saturday.

Zimmermann was able to throw the next day and didn't experience any problems, according to Williams, who doesn't expect the righty to miss a start, although he may be pushed back a day, depending how he feels.

"[The injury] is in a good spot," Williams said. "It's not in the front, where the tendon is. It's kind of on the side. Offensive guys deal with it all the time, getting hit in the shoulder. It's sore for a few days, but it's just muscle."
