Mariners to give back to fans this weekend

TORONTO -- The Mariners will give something back to their fans this weekend at Safeco Field with dozens of prizes in the works for Fan Appreciation Night on Friday and Kids Appreciation Day on Sunday in the final regular-season series against the Angels.

Drawings will be held throughout each inning of both games to hand out prizes that include the chance to watch an inning of a game with Edgar Martinez, be a Root Sports junior broadcaster for a day, concert tickets and a host of player-autographed memorabilia.

Friday's Fan Appreciation Day is a 7:10 p.m. PT game, with all fans receiving a free team poster that includes a 2015 schedule. Pregame ceremonies that night will include the Seattle chapter of the Baseball Writers' Association of America presenting the annual team awards for Pitcher of the Year, Player of the Year, Unsung Hero and the Heart & Hustle award.

During each half-inning break, fans will have a chance to win random drawings that also include two Holland America Line cruises, two pair of round-trip Alaska Airline tickets, a Spring Training tour package, several vacation getaways, Mariners Team Store gift cards, a flat-screen TV and other items.

Kids Appreciation Day activities on Sunday will have all fans 14 and under receiving a Mariners Moose poster and entrance into more drawings that also include tickets to 2015 games, the chance to throw out a first pitch and more.
