Pittsburgh Pirates Minor Leaguer De Jesus Suspended

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that Pittsburgh Pirates Minor League third baseman Johan De Jesus has received a 72-game suspension without pay following a positive test for a metabolite of Nandrolone, a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

The suspension of De Jesus, who is currently on the roster of the Dominican Summer League Pirates, will be effective at the start of the 2015 DSL season.
