Reds challenge, get call overturned at first base

ST. LOUIS -- The Reds were successful Sunday with a replay challenge vs. the Cardinals.

In the bottom of the third inning, with one out and a runner on second base during a scoreless game, Kolten Wong bunted near the first-base line. Pitcher Alfredo Simon retrieved the ball and threw quickly to Todd Frazier at first base. Wong was ruled safe on the play by crew chief Tim Welke.

Frazier immediately disputed the call and manager Bryan Price challenged. After review, Welke's call was overturned. Instead of a single, Wong was credited with a sacrifice bunt that moved Jon Jay from second base to third base. The inning would end with Jay left stranded at third base.

Price is 11-for-26 with his managerial challenges this season.
