Gloves for Kids charity event Thursday from 5-7 p.m. CT

KANASAS CITY -- The Royals and broadcaster Ryan Lefebvre will host the annual Gloves for Kids charity event on Thursday.

The event, which benefits area youth, will be held at Kansas Sampler -- Oak Park in Lenexa, Kan., from 5-7 p.m. CT.

Players scheduled to attend include Danny Duffy, Jeremy Guthrie and Brandon Finnegan, among others. Royals manager Ned Yost also plans on spending his off-day at the event.

Attendees can receive autographs from select Royals for a $25 donation that will go toward new baseball/softball equipment for underprivileged youth in the Kansas City area.
