Tonight's White Sox-Twins game postponed due to rain

Tonight's game between the Chicago White Sox and Minnesota Twins has been postponed due to a forecast of rain throughout the evening and rescheduled for tomorrow as part of a straight doubleheader beginning at 3:10 p.m. CT.

The second game of tomorrow's doubleheader will begin approximately 30 minutes following the conclusion of the first game but not before the regularly scheduled 6:10 p.m. CT first pitch. Gates to the ballpark will open at 2:10 p.m. CT.

All tickets and parking from tonight's game are now gift certificates that can be used for any future regular season home game, including future seasons. To redeem, fans should bring their tickets and parking passes to the U.S. Cellular Field Box Office.

Comcast SportsNet Chicago Plus will broadcast the opener, while WGN will televise the nightcap as originally scheduled. WSCR 670-AM and ESPN Deportes 97.5-FM will carry both games.

Tonight's White Sox Miller Lite Irish flat cap promotional giveaway has been moved to Thursday, September 25 vs. Kansas City. Tomorrow's Paul Konerko promotional game-worn uniform baseball card, presented by Wintrust Community Trust Bank, will be given to the first 20,000 fans beginning when the gates to the park open at 2:10 p.m. CT.

Tonight marks the White Sox third postponement of the season. The Sox also were postponed by rain on June 10 vs. Detroit and June 30 vs. the Angels.
