The Seattle Mariners 2015 tentative regular season begins on Monday, April 6, against the Los Angeles Angels at Safeco Field. Game time is 1:10pm, the first day game for the season opener since 2010, and the first time the team has opened at home since 2008. Major League Baseball announced the complete 2015 tentative schedule today.
The opening homestand is a brief three-game set with the Angels, followed by a six-game trip to Oakland for three against the Athletics (April 10-12) and Los Angeles for three against the Dodgers (April 13-15).
The first three months of the season will see the Mariners spending a lot of weekends at home with back-to-back nine-game homestands in April-May, followed by an 11-game homestand in June. Highlights include a four-game series against the Boston Red Sox (May 14-17) and a three-game series against the New York Yankees (June 1-3).
Interleague Play vs. NL West
During the 2015 season, the Mariners will play interleague games against teams from the National League West with home matchups against the San Diego Padres (May 12-13), San Francisco Giants (June 17-18), Arizona Diamondbacks (July 27-29), and Colorado Rockies (September 11-13).
The Mariners also travel to Los Angeles to meet the Dodgers (April 13-15), San Francisco to meet the Giants (June 15-16), San Diego to play the Padres (June 30-July 1), and Denver to meet the Rockies (August 3-5).
The Mariners will play at home on Mother's Day (May 10 vs. Oakland), Father's Day (June 21 vs. Houston), and Labor Day (September 7 vs. Texas)
