U.S. to face Japan Sunday in women's World Cup

The world's two elite women's baseball powers will meet in a No. 1 vs. No. 2 showdown in Sunday's World Cup, with Japan taking on the United States in the championship game.

Japan, the world's top team and the host country for the event, will take on second-ranked Team USA in Sunday's ENEOS Presents VI Women's Baseball World Cup title game.

Japan, winners of 11 straight, defeated Canada in the semifinal. Team USA beat Australia, 3-1, in the other semifinal. Japan is a three-time defending world champion and the U.S. a two-time champion.
