Cards get call at second overturned against Crew

MILWAUKEE -- It took less than a minute for a third-inning review to overturn a stolen base call in Friday's Cardinals-Brewers game and credit Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina with his 20th caught stealing of the season.

The review helped Cardinals starter John Lackey defuse an inning in which Scooter Gennett had given Milwaukee a 2-0 lead with his two-run single. Gennett then tried to swipe second and was initially called safe by second-base umpire Bob Davidson. Cardinals manager Mike Matheny used a challenge to have the call reversed.

Matheny has now won eight of his 24 challenges this season, including six of his last eight.
