• Second baseman Jedd Gyorko was out of the starting lineup for the second time in as many days with a sore left hamstring. Gyorko didn't start Saturday but struck out as a pinch-hitter in the eighth inning.

"We're being cautious today," Padres manager Bud Black said. "The medical staff doesn't think this is a DL [situation]. He feels better today than he did yesterday."
