Worth noting

• With Saturday night's crowd of 51,215 -- which included about 600 dogs on Pups in the Park night -- the Dodgers became the first team in the Majors to surpass 3 million in attendance. It marked the 28th time the team has reached that milestone.

• Right-hander Josh Beckett, on the disabled list since Aug. 4 with a left hip impingement, threw from a seated position Saturday, but Mattingly said he's still unsure Beckett will have enough time to return this season.

"I asked him if he threw," Mattingly said. "He said, 'If you can call it that.'"

• Mattingly said as long as shortstop Hanley Ramirez (right oblique) is feeling good, he'll be activated from the DL on Sunday. Ramirez has been out since Aug. 9.

"If he's good to go, I'm playing him," Mattingly said.
