Worth noting

• Friday's 6-3 loss to the Royals snapped a streak of five consecutive one-run games for the Rangers, their longest such streak since May 16-20, 1992, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

• Adrian Beltre went 2-for-4 on Friday, extending his hitting streak against the Royals to 15 games -- the third longest by a Ranger all-time. Only Ruben Sierra (18) and Ivan Rodriguez (23) have longer streaks.

• The Rangers have scored three runs in seven straight games and each of their last 15 contests have lasted at least two hours and 50 minutes entering Saturday's game -- both tied for the longest such streaks this season.
