CHICAGO -- Ken "Hawk" Harrelson, the White Sox colorful television play-by-play man, took the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge following the third inning of Tuesday's game between the White Sox and Orioles at U.S. Cellular Field.
Harrelson was challenged by team vice president and chief marketing officer Brooks Boyer, and in turn he challenged Dan Plesac, Ray Fosse and the team's head athletic trainer, Herm Schneider.
Harrelson left the broadcast booth and went to the Fundamentals Fan Deck in left field for the challenge.
Southpaw, the White Sox mascot, dumped the first bucket on Hawk, but Jim Thome snuck in with a second one.
When asked on the air by Boyer how it felt, Harrelson said, "Cold."
There was a humorous promise made by Harrelson to get even with both Boyer and Thome, but he praised the money being raised for ALS research through these challenges.
