Often, baseball is referred to as a game of inches. The same can be said about MLB.com's Moundball contest. And with the right roll during tonight's MLB Network Showcase between the Reds vs. Cardinals at 8 p.m. ET, you could come out a winner.
How does Moundball work? It's the third out of an inning. Players are running into the dugout and fans are fetching peanuts and crackerjacks. But where does the baseball go? If a player or umpire rolls it onto the pitching mound, we've got a moundball. If it ends up anywhere else, no moundball. Yes, it's really that simple.

Easy as can be.
And the longer without a moundball, the greater the prize. What's that mean for you? Well, for every inning without a moundball, the plot will thicken and the pot will sweeten. Once a moundball does occur, a random fan who used #moundball will become a lucky winner. And some of the giveaways are pretty great.
A customized jersey from the MLB.com Shop? A pair of tickets to a regular-season game of your choosing? A $500 MLB.com Shop gift certificate? These could be yours by evening's end.
Once a moundball goes down in the game and a winner is anointed, the process will start again from scratch. So tune into tonight's Cincinnati-St. Louis contest with your friends and family alike. You all can win prizes.
