Northwest Arkansas lost a 13-inning marathon on a three-run homer by Alex Dickerson. Brian Fletcher gave the Naturals a short-lived 3-2 lead with a go-ahead single in the 12th. Jorge Bonifacio recorded four hits and a run. He is ranked seventh among Royals prospects by MLB.com. Sugar Ray Marimon scattered five hits, two walks and two strikeouts over 5.0 innings in his first outing since coming off a rehab stint with Idaho Falls.

Wilmington fell short in a bid for a three-game sweep. Winston-Salem's Courtney Hawkins had the game's big hit, a three-run homer off of Luis Santos (7.0 IP, 8 H, 4 ER, 0 BB, 4 SO). Fred Ford's infield single in the fifth scored Michael Antonio for the lone Wilmington run. Antonio led the Blue Rocks with two hits. The Blue Rocks have today off before beginning a series at Myrtle Beach (Rangers).
