Pigeons Interrupt Miguel Cabrera's At-Bat

Stubborn birds.

Detroit Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera has been front and center in some hilarious moments. That trend continued last night when two pigeons interrupted play during Cabrera's first at-bat.

Miggy flashed a big smile after Pittsburgh Pirates starter Vance Worley unsuccessfully tried to shoo the pigeons away. For a few pitches, the game continued as if the birds weren't there. Cabrera then took a try at shooing them off, but the stubborn pigeons just wouldn't go away. After a brief and memorable delay, the birds were safely removed from the field by the grounds crew.

There have been some odd delays this season.
