Worth noting

• Second baseman Ryan Goins was optioned to Triple-A following Sunday's 6-5 win in 19 innings. Reliever Brad Mills has been recalled from the Bisons and will join the team in Seattle.

• Prior to Sunday, the longest Blue Jays game ever played was April 19, 2001, against the Yankees (five hours, fifty-seven minutes). Only two other Toronto games have ever made it past the 17th inning: July 25, 2005, vs. the Angels, and June 8, 2013, vs. the Rangers.

• The Blue Jays were celebrating Canada Baseball Day at Rogers Centre on Sunday. The club was wearing its red uniforms, and the first 20,000 fans in attendance were handed a free replica Blue Jays batting practice cap. Linda Ruth Tosetti, the granddaughter of Babe Ruth, threw out the ceremonial first pitch.
