• Andy Wilkins hit his International League leading 28th home run Friday afternoon during Triple-A Charlotte's 11-8 loss to Pawtucket. Wilkins sits atop the IL with his 75 RBIs and with his 239 total bases.

Jose Abreu went 0-for-2 in Thursday's loss, getting hit by a pitch twice, and snapping his road hitting streak at 25 games. During the streak, he hit .406 (41-for-101) with nine home runs and 24 RBIs.

• Numerous White Sox players, including Abreu and Friday starter Jose Quintana, posed for pictures in the White Sox dugout with Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready, who performed the national anthem prior to Friday's contest.
