Worth noting

• Jesse Biddle, the Phillies' No. 4 prospect according to MLB.com, was scheduled to start for Class A Advanced Clearwater on Wednesday. The left-hander began the season with Double-A Reading and was placed on the inactive list in June, which Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. described as "a mental break."

Biddle, the Phils' first-round pick in the 2010 First-Year Player Draft, returned to the mound July 26 and pitched two innings in a start with the Gulf Coast League Phillies.

"He's been through a lot and he's worked through a lot of things," Phillies manager Ryne Sandberg said. "It's good to see that he's back. I'm anxious to see how he does and adjusts to making the adjustments that he's got to make."
