Adam Dunn Makes First Career Pitching Appearance

Baseball is the best.

The beauty of baseball is that anything can happen on any given night. Take the case of Chicago White Sox slugger Adam Dunn, who made his first career pitching appearance in a 16-0 loss to the Texas Rangers. There have been several position player pitching appearances in 2014 (and each is a treasure), but none have captivated us at the MLB Fan Cave, and really the nation, as much as Dunn toeing the rubber tonight.

Dunn mixed in a low-80s fastball with a mid-70s change-up (?) to marginal success. The final line: one earned run on two hits in one memorable inning. But his performance can't be summed up by just the numbers. It was a wonderful thing watching him pitch, something we'll never forget.

We've said it a million times, and we'll say it again. Baseball is the best.
