Worth noting

• Phillies left-hander Cliff Lee met with team physician Steve Cohen on Saturday to evaluate the strained throwing elbow he sustained against the Nationals on Thursday night. Sandberg had no update when he met with the media, but general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. told Comcast SportsNet on Friday that there was no indication of "ligament issues" in Lee's elbow.

• Phillies outfielder Domonic Brown sat out Saturday for the second straight game because of strep throat. It is the second time Brown has come down with the illness in the past month.

• Sandberg said first baseman Ryan Howard has made adjustments to his swing since he sat out three consecutive games in July, namely, crouching lower in his stance. Sandberg said Howard has recently watched a number of videos from past seasons to find a stance that's comfortable.
