Worth noting

• The news on catcher Evan Gattis (bulging disk in lower back) remains positive after he worked out with the Braves' Class A affiliate at Rome, Ga., on Saturday.

"Another good day, and I think he's gonna do that same thing [Sunday] -- maybe ramp up a little more," Gonzalez said. "But it was a good day, another solid day."

• The All-Star break used to be three days and the Major League schedule would resume on Thursday, but now there are no games until Friday.

"I think the players need it and like it," Gonzalez said. "For us old coaches, two days are good enough, but I think players need an extra day to kind of catch up a little from getting beat up or an injury and charge the batteries a little bit."
