Aloe Blacc's special on-field performance on Monday, July 14th will first feature "Wake Me Up" on MLB Network at approximately 7:50 p.m. ET, followed by "Can You Do This," which will air on ESPN prior to the start of the Gillette Home Run Derby. Jose Bautista of the Toronto Blue Jays and Troy Tulowitzki of the Colorado Rockies have been named captains of the American League and National League squads for the Derby. Blacc will also perform at the MLB All-Star Gala.
Also joining the roster of musical performances during MLB All-Star Week is Panic! At the Disco, who will perform on-field prior to the Taco Bell™ All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game at Target Field on July 13th as part of Taco Bell All-Star Sunday. The Taco Bell All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game will be televised by ESPN at approximately 10:30 p.m. Eastern immediately following the Gillette Home Run Derby. Additionally, the ticketed All-Star Pre-Game Celebration taking place outside of Target Field prior to the All-Star Game on Tuesday will feature American rock band O.A.R. and Minnesota's A Capella group, Home Free.
Grammy Award winning artists Imagine Dragons will headline the 2014 Target All-Star Concert presented by Budweiser with musical guest, Minnesota-based Atmosphere, on Saturday, July 12th, as part of MLB All-Star Week, as previously announced. Tony Award-winning icon Idina Menzel has a diverse career that traverses stage, film, television and music. Aloe Blacc released his major-label debut album Lift Your Spirit March 11th on XIX Recordings/Interscope Records where is debuted at #4 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. The set follows up Blacc's collaboration as vocalist and co-writer on well-known DJ/producer Avicii's track "Wake Me Up," a song that hit the Top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on its Hot Dance Club Songs and Dance/Electronic Songs charts, as well as topping charts in more than 100 countries.
