Worth noting

• Outfielder Bryce Harper enjoyed a day off Wednesday, traveling to Akron, Ohio, to join Double-A Harrisburg. Harper, who is on the 15-day disabled list as he recovers from surgery to repair a torn ligament in his left thumb, is expected to play all four games with Harrisburg.

• Infielder/outfielder Jeff Kobernus (fractured left hand) was reinstated from the 60-day disabled list and optioned to Triple-A Syracuse, while right-hander Christian Garcia was released. Garcia, who was dealing with right shoulder issues, was 1-1 with a 2.45 ERA in 10 games Syracuse this season.

• Williams announced that right-hander Blake Treinen will start in Saturday's day-night doubleheader against the Cubs. Treinen continues to play well for Syracuse, having gone 4-0 with a 1.80 ERA.

• Catcher Wilson Ramos is expected to be activated from the disabled list on Thursday. He has missed almost two weeks because of a right hamstring injury.
