Worth noting

• Catcher Mike Zunino is second in the AL in times being hit by a pitch with nine in his first 60 games. That's the most times a Mariners player has been plunked in a season since Brendan Ryan's 10 in 2011.

• Right fielder Michael Saunders went 1-for-5 with a triple and an RBI in Sunday's rehab start with Tacoma, while designated hitter Corey Hart was 2-for-4 and first baseman Justin Smoak went 1-for-3 with an RBI.

Saunders has hit .417 (5-for-12) with a home run and four RBIs in three rehab starts as he works back from a sore right shoulder. Smoak is batting .222 (4-for-18) with one RBI in five rehab starts while recovering from a strained quad, while Hart is batting .375 (3-for-8) in two games back after dealing with a strained hamstring.
