Worth noting

• Second baseman Rougned Odor got a scheduled day off, despite the change in Angels starting pitchers Friday caused by Wednesday's rainout in Cleveland.

"Originally, it was going to be because of [left-hander Hector] Santiago," manager Ron Washington said. "They changed pitchers, but I went ahead and gave him the day. He'll be back in there tomorrow [against right-hander Jered Weaver]." Odor, 20, bats left-handed, and is hitting .231 vs. LHP, .329 vs. RHP.

• The Rangers claimed left-hander Justin Marks on waivers from the A's, and optioned him to Triple-A Round Rock. He made his Major League debut with two innings for the Royals on April 20, then was traded to the A's on June 5. Marks, 26, is 3-2 with a 5.03 ERA in 17 games (two starts) with Omaha and Sacramento. First baseman Prince Fielder was moved to the 60-day DL to make 40-man roster room for Marks.
