Worth noting

• Right-hander Clay Buchholz's simulated game was moved from Saturday to Sunday after a mixup on the availability of Comerica Park's field. Instead, he worked on getting off the mound. Buchholz was placed on the 15-day DL on May 28 with a hyperextended left knee and said Saturday he's feeling good.

• Outfielder Shane Victorino (right hamstring) took batting practice Saturday, and his baseball activity continues to increase. Manager John Farrell said he hopes Victorino can begin rehab work by the end of next week.

• Left-hander Felix Doubront (left shoulder) is scheduled to throw rehab starts in Triple-A Pawtucket on Tuesday and Sunday. Doubront allowed two earned runs over four innings in Double-A Portland on Thursday, and the plan is to increase his innings in each of the next two starts.
