• On Tuesday, both the Brewers and the Twins played in throwback uniforms from the 1980s for "Turning Back the Clock" night, a maneuver that will be repeated Thursday in Minnesota when the two teams wrap the four-game series. The Twins were wearing uniforms reminiscent of 1984, when Kirby Puckett made his Major League debut, Carl Pohlad purchased the franchise and Prince recorded three of the year's top 10 hits.
• With his two doubles Monday, Joe Mauer passed former teammate Justin Morneau for sole possession of fifth place on the Twins' all-time doubles leaderboard with 190. Next on the list is Rod Carew (305) and Kent Hrbek (312). Mauer was one walk away from 641 for his career and tying Bob Allison for third place.
• Kyle Gibson recorded his first Major League hit on Monday in Milwaukee, though Twins pitchers are still batting .147 since Interleague Play began in 1997. They are one of four teams without a home run from their pitchers since that time, joining the Yankees, the Athletics and the Angels.
