Girardi appearing in NYC for charity

NEW YORK -- Yankees manager Joe Girardi is scheduled to make a public appearance on Monday at a Chipotle Mexican Grill location in Manhattan to raise funds for his Catch 25 Foundation.

The World Series-winning skipper will be at the Chipotle restaurant at 25 West 45th Street (between 5th and 6th Avenues) from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. ET on Monday.

A $5 donation at the door entitles customers to a gourmet burrito or order of tacos, a bowl or salad and a fountain drink, with 100 percent of each donation going to support the mission of Catch 25.

The donation also gives customers a chance at an hourly drawing between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. for Girardi autographed items, including a No. 27 Yankees jersey.

Catch 25 was formed with the mission of raising awareness and finding treatments and cures for ALS, Alzheimer's, cancer, and infertility. It also provides scholarships and financial aid to those struggling with these diseases and infertility, serving children and adults who may not have the financial and emotional support they need.
