Seager, ranked No. 28 on MLBPipeline.com's Top 100 Prospects list, hit .500 with a 1.448 OPS during his hitting streak.
Seager celebrated his 20th birthday last month, making him one of the youngest players in the California League. But that hasn't slowed him down this season, and he leads the circuit in batting average (.361), OPS (1.003) and doubles (20).
Peterson, ranked No. 75 on the Top 100, was the 12th overall pick in the 2013 First-Year Player Draft. In his first full professional season, he is hitting .276 with an .818 OPS and nine home runs.
Peterson helped High Desert to a 5-4 victory Tuesday in the first game of the series. He went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk. It was his fourth home run in five games.
The game's pitching matchup will pit left-hander Tom Windle, the Dodgers' No. 7 prospect, against left-hander Tyler Pike, the Mariners' No. 9 prospect. Windle, the club's second-round pick last year, is 4-3 with a 4.62 ERA in 50 2/3 innings for the Quakes. Pike enters the game 2-2 with a 5.57 ERA in 42 innings for the Mavericks.
Wednesday's Minor League schedule also includes several pitchers ranked in the Top 100 who are slated to start, including Jon Gray (No. 13), Tyler Glasnow (No. 23), Lucas Sims (No. 50), Eduardo Rodriguez (No. 58) and Edwin Escobar (No. 82). Fans can watch Escobar and Gray on MiLB.TV, beginning with Escobar and Triple-A Fresno taking on Reno at 4:05 p.m.
