LOS ANGELES - In celebration of the 11th no-hitter in Los Angeles history, the Dodgers will offer a limited number of $11 tickets to Josh Beckett's next start Friday (vs. PIT, 7:10 p.m.). Beckett, NL co-player of the week, threw his first career no-hitter Sunday in the Dodgers' 6-0 victory over the Phillies at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. A limited number of $11 Infield Reserve, Preferred Reserve and Left Field Pavilion tickets for Friday's game are available for purchase now, while supplies last, online at, by calling 866-DODGERS or by visiting Dodger Stadium advance ticket windows. Fans are encouraged to attend Friday's game to cheer on Beckett at home and enjoy Friday Night Fireworks after the game.
Beckett's no-hitter marked the 21st in Dodger franchise history, the most of any MLB team (last: Hideo Nomo, Sept. 17, 1996 at Colorado). Beckett also joined Randy Johnson, Dave Stewart, Jack Morris, Bret Saberhagen, Bob Gibson, Sandy Koufax, Lew Burdette and Don Larsen as the only pitchers in MLB history to be selected World Series MVP and throw a no-hitter. Beckett has won his last three starts, going 3-0 with a 1.77 ERA (4 ER/20.1 IP) since May 13. Overall, he ranks 10th in the NL with a 2.43 ERA and has held opponents to a .189 batting average, the fourth-best mark in the NL.
The Dodgers offer one of the best values in Los Angeles and all of sports with season tickets starting at $14 per seat, per game. More information on season tickets can be found by visiting or by calling (323) DODGERS.
