PHILADELPHIA, PA - Phillies players, coaching staff, broadcasters and alumni will join together to pay tribute to Richie Ashburn and Harry Kalas, two Phillies broadcasting legends.
Highlights will include:
- Q & A sessions with attendees scheduled to appear: Phillies General Manager Ruben Amaro Jr., manager Ryne Sandberg, Chase Utley, Ryan Howard, Jonathan Papelbon, Kyle Kendrick, Cody Asche, Ben Revere, Carlos Ruiz, Larry Bowa, Juan Samuel, broadcasters and alumni.
- Live and silent auction of a wide range of sports memorabilia.
- Phillies Broadcasters Tom McCarthy and Gregg Murphy will emcee the event.
The event will take place on Monday, May 12 at Morton's The Steakhouse at 1411 Walnut Street in Philadelphia. Attendees will arrive at 6:30 p.m. and the dinner and live auction will begin at 7:30 p.m. All proceeds from the event benefit the Richie Ashburn-Harry Kalas Foundation.
The Richie Ashburn-Harry Kalas Foundation, which has touched the lives of over 1,000 children since it began in 1998, seeks to carry out Richie's dream by giving kids in the Philadelphia area the opportunity to learn the art of baseball through free baseball clinics.
