But, munching on a cracker and sipping Pedialyte to replace lost fluids, the ever-resilient Lincecum declared that he felt healthy enough to pitch.
"It was pretty mild," he said of his illness.
Said manager Bruce Bochy, "Today he's bouncing around like nothing happened."
Actually, a lot has happened to Lincecum since he faced the A's in last Friday's Bay Bridge Series exhibition. His status for Thursday initially was tenuous due to a bruised left knee caused by Daric Barton's fourth-inning line drive. But Lincecum's lack of pain and ample range of motion made the bruise a non-issue.
