Strasburg will grace the Space Coast Stadium mound once more when his Nationals play their last home game of the spring, a 1:05 p.m. ET contest vs. the Mets. Strasburg has allowed just one earned run through 14 Grapefruit League innings. Zack Wheeler will start for New York and will likely get a tuneup in a Minor League game before his April 3 regular-season debut.
Due to Florida rain that plagued the Grapefruit League on Monday, Detroit's Rick Porcello's start was pushed to Tuesday against the Braves at 1:05 p.m. ET on MLB.TV. For Atlanta, the spotlight will be on starter Ervin Santana, who gets the ball for one last spring start against big league competition before his expected Braves debut in the second week of the regular season.
The Red Sox will send Clay Buchholz and nearly all of their regulars to meet the Rays in Port Charlotte, Fla., at 1:05 p.m. ET on MLB.TV. Buchholz is 2-2 with a 2.77 ERA in four spring starts. Despite Monday's rainout, Tampa Bay will keep its rotation on schedule by starting Jake Odorizzi.
The competition for Minnesota's final rotation spot continues when Kyle Gibson, considered the favorite in the position battle, takes his turn on the hill against the Orioles at 1:05 p.m. ET on MLB.TV. Another candidate for the spot, southpaw Scott Diamond, is scheduled to pitch in relief. Bud Norris will start for Baltimore.
In the Cactus League, Hernandez will see his last action of the spring at 9:05 p.m. ET in a matchup with the Royals. The Mariners' ace is 4-4 with a 2.80 ERA against the Royals over his career. Opposite Hernandez is Kansas City lefty Bruce Chen, making his fourth spring start and fifth appearance.
Bumgarner -- who has excelled this spring to the tune of 17 scoreless innings, 16 strikeouts and just two walks across four starts -- will also get his last Cactus League start when the Giants take on the Brewers at 4:05 p.m. ET. All-Star shortstop Jean Segura could make his Cactus League debut for Milwaukee as a sore throwing shoulder has limited him thus far. The Brewers will send Wily Peralta to the mound.
With Jered Weaver making his last spring start in the Minor Leagues, the Angels will turn to their bullpen for a 4:05 p.m. ET contest against the Cubs on MLB.TV. Brandon Lyon will get the first inning as he competes for a spot on the Angels' staff. The split-squad Cubs will start lefty Tsuyoshi Wada.
At 7:05 p.m. ET on MLB.TV, the Phillies will visit the Yankees in Tampa, Fla., where Philadelphia will get one last look at right-hander Jeff Manship before making a decision on his Opening Day roster status. The 29-year-old righty is 1-0 with a 2.25 ERA through five appearances (16 innings) this spring. The Yankees will start David Phelps, who is battling for inclusion in a crowded starting rotation.
